Welcome to Tech4Tails. By accessing and using our website (www.tech4tails.co.za) and purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. Please read them carefully.
1. General
This website is owned and operated by Tech4Tails, based in Cape Town, South Africa. These terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, vendors, customers, and merchants.
We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Products & Orders
All product prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.
We strive for accuracy in product descriptions and imagery, but slight variations may occur.
Orders are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock after you’ve ordered, we’ll notify you and offer a refund or alternative.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.
3. Payment
Payments are processed securely via trusted third-party gateways (e.g., PayFast, Yoco, or Shopify Payments).
We do not store or have access to your credit card or banking details.
Full payment must be received before your order is dispatched.
4. Shipping
We ship nationwide across South Africa using trusted courier services.
Delivery times are typically 2–5 business days, depending on your location.
You’ll receive tracking details via email once your order is shipped.
Tech4Tails is not liable for delays due to courier issues, incorrect addresses, or public holidays.
5. Returns & Refunds
Our full Returns & Warranty Policy forms part of these terms. In summary:
- 30-Day Guarantee: if the product is working but has not helped your dog, you may return it within 30 days of purchase for a refund of the product price and we cover the return courier. The product must be returned in its original packaging and in resaleable condition with no signs of use or wear and tear; photos of the device and packaging are required before a return is approved, and returns that do not meet these conditions are declined. One unit per household; bundles are refunded at the difference between the bundle price and the current single price of the items kept.
- Cooling-off (ECTA section 44): you may cancel any online purchase within 7 days of delivery for any reason. The product must be returned complete and in the condition received; the direct cost of returning it is for your account. We refund the full price paid.
- Change of mind after day 7: accepted at our discretion only, within 30 days, unopened and unused, at your courier cost and less a 10% restocking fee.
- Faulty, damaged in transit, or wrong item: report within 7 days of delivery. We collect at our cost and replace or refund in full.
All returns must be approved by email before being sent. Refunds are made to the original payment method for the amount actually paid, within 5 business days of the return being received and checked. Results vary from dog to dog and are not guaranteed.
6. Warranty
All Tech4Tails devices carry a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects and component failure under normal domestic use, running from the date of delivery, in line with section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. We cover the courier both ways and you may choose repair, replacement or a refund. The warranty covers "it stopped working"; the 30-Day Guarantee covers "it didn't work for my dog".
Not covered: water or liquid damage on products not rated waterproof (our automatic devices are splash-proof only and intended for indoor or sheltered use; collars and remotes are water-resistant but must not be submerged); physical damage, drops or chewing; unauthorised opening, modification or repair; damage from non-standard chargers or power surges; normal wear including straps and gradual battery runtime loss; loss or theft; and results, which fall under the 30-Day Guarantee. Where testing finds no covered fault, the unit is returned to you at your cost.
How to claim: email info@tech4tails.co.za with your order number and a short video of the fault. Your order number is sufficient proof of purchase. We respond within 2 business days and dispatch approved replacements within 7 business days.
This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and does not limit them. Full terms are in our Returns & Warranty Policy.
7. Use of Products
All Tech4Tails products are intended for use as pet training tools and should be used responsibly. We do not guarantee specific results and advise pet owners to follow included instructions.
Misuse or modification of products may void your right to return or request support.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including logos, images, text, and product designs — is the property of Tech4Tails and may not be used or reproduced without written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:
Tech4Tails shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our products or website.
Use of our website and products is at your own risk.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the laws and courts of South Africa.
